Couples therapy is valuable. But for some couples, an hour every seven days isn't enough. Not when you are in crisis, not when years of distance have accumulated, not when you've tried talking and keep ending in the same place.
The patterns that damage relationships weren't built in a day. But with the right conditions, they can also shift.
A Couples Intensive is immersive, deep, trauma-informed and RLT (Relational Life Therapy) based, focused work. One, two or three days dedicated entirely to your relationship. Not interruptions. No week-long gaps where old, toxic dynamic reasserts itself. Just sustained, deep work that gets to the unconscious roots of what keeps going wrong and begins to change them.
Couples who complete an intensive often leave feeling more connected, equipped with strategies to sustain their progress and hopeful about their future.
WHO IS A COUPLES INTENSIVE FOR?
A couples intensive is a powerful opportunity if:
- You feel trapped in repetitive cycles of conflict, criticism, withdrawal, or escalation and can't find a way out
- You have experience a major rupture, infidelity, betrayal, a life crisis, significant loss and need more than weekly sessions to begin repair
- Your schedules make weekly sessions difficult and you want signifiant change or growth faster
- You've tried other forms of therapy but haven't achieved the breakthroughs you were hoping for
- You are at crossroads and want to make a clear, informed decision about their future together
- You want to do concentrated work before or after a major life transition
- You want to not just cope but to build a relationship that feels genuinely alive again

WHAT YOU WILL GAIN?
IDENTIFY DESTRUCTIVE PATTERNS
Discover how behaviours and coping strategies formed in the past are sabotaging your relationship today and how to transform them.
EXPERIENCE RUPTURE AND REPAIR IN REAL TIME
Rather than opening painful material and then waiting a week, an intensive allows you to move through conflict, insight and healing with a safe, contained space.
BUILD REAL RELATIONAL SKILLS
Learn the minute-to-minute tools to navigate conflict, express your needs honestly and nurture intimacy. You leave with strategies you can apply immediately, not just insight, but change.
RECONNECT
Many couples arrive exhausted and disconnected. Many leave with a renewed sense of who they are to each other and what is possible.
An intensive is structured around the three phases of Relational Life Therapy.
Phase 1: Insight
We identify the patterns keeping you stuck. The cycles of conflict, withdrawal, disconnection. Where they come from. What they are protecting. We name honestly what each partner is bringing to the dynamic.
Phase 2: Healing
We work with the relational wounds that drive those patterns, building empathy and understanding between partners in real time
Phase 3: Integration
We build the practical skills to sustain change, how to repair after conflict, how to practice relational mindullness, how to speak with love, firmness and care, how to remain emotionally available and assertive even under pressure.
ONE DAY: Focused work on a specific rupture or pattern
TWO DAYS: deeper exploration, insight, healing and early integration
THREE DAYS: The full arc, recommended for most couples. Insight, healing, integration and the skills to sustain change.
Intensives take place online and in-person.
